Refund Policy

Effective date: October 18, 2026 · read together with the Terms of Service.

1. The short version

If we cannot complete your report, you get a full refund. If you cancel before research begins, you get a full refund. Once a report has been delivered in line with your brief, the engagement is complete — but material factual errors are corrected for free, and we would always rather talk than see a chargeback.

2. Full refund situations

• Research cannot be completed — the company is too new, too obscure, or its records are genuinely unavailable, and we tell you this instead of padding a report. Full refund, no deduction.
• Cancellation before research begins — cancel any time before we confirm research has started. Full refund.
• On-site Verification (No. 04) — fully refundable until travel for the site visit is arranged. Once travel is booked, costs already committed are deducted and the remainder is refunded.
• Scope cannot be met — e.g. a location turns out to be outside coverage after payment for No. 04. Full refund of that add-on.

3. When a refund does not apply

• Report delivered in line with the brief. The engagement is complete whether or not you like the answer. A report that finds serious adverse records, or one that finds nothing adverse, is the same completed work.
• Findings you disagree with but cannot show are wrong. Our verdicts are editorial conclusions from public records; a different commercial judgment is not a factual error.
• Brief errors on your side — wrong company name or wrong registration details supplied by you. If you spot this within 14 days of delivery, we will re-run the research on the correct entity at half price; this is a goodwill term, not a refund.

4. Corrections

If a delivered report contains a material factual error (a cited record does not exist, a flag belongs to a different company, a date is wrong), contact [email protected] within 14 days. We re-check the cited sources and, where the error is confirmed, issue a corrected report at no charge. Where a confirmed error materially changed the verdict, we will also refund the engagement fee — that is the standard we hold ourselves to.

5. Process and timing

Requests go to [email protected] with your order reference and a short explanation. Approved refunds are issued through the original payment channel, typically within 1–2 business days of approval; your bank or the payment processor may take additional days to post it.

6. On chargebacks

Please contact us first. Every engagement produces source notes we can walk through together, and disputes are almost always resolvable. Chargebacks initiated without contacting us first will be contested with the engagement record.
